For most of this race, Barack Obama has been the most popular candidate. The presidential polls always showed Obama in the lead. However, recent polls show that his rival, John McCain, is currently in the lead with just a few points. If Obama wants to remain the number one candidate, he should pay attention to a few specific states. Because the polls are so close, winning a few key states will truly help Obama win the election. Obama still has over $65 million which is double to what McCain has. Obama should use this an an advantage and tour some of the country.

New Mexico- New Mexico is still an undecided state. In 2004, this state did vote for the republican party. However, in 2004, the state did vote for the democratic nominee. It would be a great success to win a southern state for Obama.

California- California has the most amount of votes a state can give, 55! If Obama received these votes, it would give him a huge increase.

Pennsylvania- Pennsylvania has 21 votes. This large number could truly help Obama. This state should help because Obama because he chose his running mate, Joe Biden, who was born in Pennsylvania.

Minnesota- Althought Minnesota has usually been a state that would vote for the democratic nominee, voters may change their minds due to the recent Republican National Convention that was held in St. Paul. Obama should pay a visit to Minnesota to regain the relationship with Minnesotans that he might have lost.

Obama should not pay attention to Arizona. John McCain is from Arizona. Visiting there may be a bit pointless and a waste of money.

There are three key states in this election: Florida, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.
Florida will probably go to McCain, but if Obama could clench the other two states, he could add 41 votes to his name! That would help him out tremendously!

If Obama stays with our plans, the states will vote as follows:
